For Chef Joe Anastasio, excellence is not just an aspiration but a way of life. His ambition has always been to excel in his culinary endeavors, and he envisions Taste of Italy as an extension of this passion. His dream is for Taste of Italy to stand out as one of Perth’s premier Italian restaurants, celebrated for its authentic cuisine and unparalleled dining experience.
About Chef Joe Anastasio
From childhood, Joe Anastasio was immersed in the culinary world, assisting his grandfather in their Italian kitchen. By 14, he began his formal culinary journey, starting in a local Italian eatery and advancing to the prestigious Perth Sheraton hotel. This foundation led him across Europe, working in its finest Italian establishments.
Returning to Perth, Joe quickly rose to prominence, becoming the youngest head chef at a top Italian restaurant. At 23, he launched his own award-winning restaurant, collecting over 28 accolades, including “Best Italian Restaurant in Perth.”
With over four decades in the culinary field, Chef Joe joined Taste of Italy in 2020. As the executive chef, he’s been pivotal in crafting its authentic Italian menu and mentoring the next generation of chefs.
